FFilmic is an international film festival dedicated to presenting bold, innovative and original cinema from across the world. Originally founded in Wales, the festival relocated to London several years ago, marking its evolution into a globally focused platform that welcomes submissions from filmmakers worldwide. Now in its 19th year, FFilmic continues to build on its heritage while embracing a broader international identity, bringing together diverse voices in a contemporary and dynamic setting.

As a London-based festival, FFilmic focuses on high-quality storytelling and distinctive creative vision. Each edition features a carefully curated programme of short films, documentaries, animation, experimental work and international submissions, offering space to a wide range of filmmakers and artistic approaches. The festival’s awards recognise outstanding achievements in filmmaking across both international and UK-based categories, reflecting its inclusive and global scope.
As part of its commitment to professional development, FFilmic hosts a series of workshops and masterclasses led by actively working industry professionals. These sessions provide filmmakers with practical insights, creative guidance and real-world expertise across directing, screenwriting, production, cinematography and other key disciplines. Beyond their educational value, these events also serve as valuable networking opportunities, allowing attendees to connect with filmmakers, industry guests and collaborators in a focused and supportive environment. The workshops and masterclasses run throughout the festival, enriching the overall experience and strengthening the professional community around FFilmic.
For several consecutive years, FFilmic has been hosted at its regular venue — the cinema of the CourtHouse Hotel London in Soho. The building, formerly the historic Marlborough Street Magistrates Court, is known for cases involving notable public figures such as Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Oscar Wilde and Christine Keeler. Today, the venue combines its cultural heritage with modern screening facilities, providing an ideal environment for filmmakers, audiences and industry guests.
