

Ffilmic Take 8 Film Challenge Rules:
1. Registration and Timeline:

Teams must submit their entry form by the deadline of 6:30 PM on Wednesday, January 1st 2024.

The Ffilmic Challenge will take place from Friday, March 1st to March 9th 2024.

Contact details of at least one team member must be provided.
2. Team and Volunteer Requirements:

All cast and crew members must be volunteers.
3. Film Creation Guidelines:

Teams will be assigned a film genre, a mandatory line of dialogue, and a prop during the launch night, which must appear in their 5-minute film.

Scripting, shooting, and editing must be completed within 10 days.

All footage must be shot during the challenge period; no stock footage or material from other times is allowed.

Animation and special effects are permitted but must be created during the challenge period.

Films should have a runtime between 1 to 5 minutes.
4. Presentation and Credits:

Each film should begin with 5 seconds of black followed by information about the Team Name, Age Category, and Film Title.

Each film will be presented during the festival

Credits should not exceed 1 minute in addition to the 5-minute maximum runtime. Films over 6 minutes will be disqualified.

If filmed in a 16:9 ratio or anamorphic, the film must be letter-boxed.
5. Submission Details:

Films must be delivered by 5 PM on Monday, November 3rd, in mini dv, QuickTime movie, or high-quality avi formats.

If submitting by post, the entry must be postmarked no later than Tuesday, November 4th.
6. Content Guidelines:

Films must be appropriate for viewers under 18 and should not contain explicit content, graphic sex, nudity, gratuitous violence, or foul language.
7. Release Forms:

Each team member, actor, and music contributor must sign a release form, confirming the necessary licensing and copyright permissions for the material used in the film.
8. Rights and Usage:

By submitting a film, you grant Ffilmic Take 8 non-exclusive rights to the finished film for screening at film festivals, promotional use, and online exhibition. This does not affect your rights to screen or distribute the film as you see fit.
